SURE WAS A THING.
so after that whole fiasco finally died down, katara just went straight to bed and slept. she doesn't really poke her head from under her covers until the afternoon, and when she does it's for one specific purpose. she didn't really get to talk to inuyasha before he and zuko started crabwalking for her attention. so. ]

But then... things changed, and now I know he wouldn't betray me like that. [ again. ]

[When he looks back, he's frowning.] Kikyo was the guardian of the Jewel. A priestess. One day, she came and tried to attack me. It... Something was wrong. I didn't think she would ever do something like that. Not after... But she did.
So I went to get the Jewel, but she had already told the villagers I was trying to steal it for myself. I was trying to make sure it wasn't stolen! Then Kikyo pinned me to a tree with a binding arrow, and I was stuck for fifty years!
When she shot me, she was injured. I don't know how. She said I did it. But I hadn't when she attacked me.
Goes to show you how much loyalty you have with people you think you know. Don't trust anybody.

The old hag--Kikyo's little sister--said Kagome was a reincarnation. Cause Kagome had the Jewel inside her. It got stolen by a crow demon, and I thought because she was a reincarnation of Kikyo, she'd be able to shoot it down! But she broke it!

Like a dumb human girl who smells like Kikyo. [Wait for it.] She's from some weird future. They have stupid metal box things that carry you around, like a horse. And no one knows what demons are, so I have to wear some dumb hat if I go through the well. And everyone has weird clothes. They all dress alike. Kagome says it's "for school."
She always wants to help everyone, and always gets in trouble because she's stupid and believes everyone and everything they say. I always gotta save her.
And she's always in my business asking questions. "Are you okay, Inuyasha?" or "We need to rest because my butt is gonna fall off, Inuyasha!" Pisses me off. Then I tell her to leave me alone, then she's yelling, and then I'm yelling and then she's crying! Geez!
I hate it when she starts crying and says I didn't care, or starts crying when I get hurt! Maybe if she wouldn't go around tryin' to help every single person, I wouldn't always have to fight!
["I hate stupid Kagome," says Inuyasha who then goes on a loving rant about Kagome for fifteen minutes.]

it takes her a moment to absorb all of this. he has a crush? he definitely has a crush. although katara is also not sure if he has a crush or something on kikyo? his voice did get softer when he was talking about her before, but... she died a long time ago, too. did he move on? because he definitely has a crush on kagome. ]
Is that so... She sounds like someone I'd get along with. I'm glad that you have a person like that looking after you back home, Inuyasha.

Yeah, well, I said you act just like her, didn't I? Mouthy and stupidly running off into trouble for no reason, then getting hurt, then getting mad when you get yelled at for being dumb!
