What happened in there anyway? Was it a demon?

I'm not... entirely sure what it was. That entire jungle isn't normal. It was... I guess the best way to describe it was that it was kind of like it was alive? As soon as we stepped off the path, we got lost, even though it shouldn't have been possible for us to lose our way as soon as we walked off it.

[ it reminds her of a swamp from back home, actually. ]

And... eventually we found a banana grove with this gigantic plant. But it was also like a monster? It woke up and attacked us, and I was the one closest to it, so I got hit the worse from it.

[ the burns, she means. ]

We killed it, but... there were also these weird flies around it. I think it was trying to eat them. And one of the flies stung my arm.

[He listens, ears up, hands tucked inside his sleeves. None of this honestly sounds unusual to him. Demons in his time period of fantastical Japan did the weirdest shit.] Sounds like it was a stupid idea to go off by yourselves. [He wants to say especially without me, but, God dammit, he doesn't have any powers!

And then my arm just kind of... crumbled away.

[ which was pretty horrifying to watch. but at least there was no blood or amputation needed so, there's the silver lining. ]

What if someone else had killed you in there, then tried to blame it on the jungle! We'd never be able to find the person who killed you!

I wasn't planning on going in that deep, so I didn't think it would be that bad, but then we were kind of... forced to, after the path disappeared on us.

[Hilariously, he's pretty patient with feeding her or handing her a coconut to drink out of... mostly because it's a little embarrassing having to do this since it ruins his reputation.] Demons get stronger in my world when they have pieces of the Jewel that Kagome broke. The complete Jewel gives demons great power.

So maybe those two gave these "demons" some kind of Jewel to make them so powerful. But without our own powers, we can't do anything about it. Did you even kill it?

We did. [ raven and she did most of the work for that, actually, the men were useless. ] But it's like you said... we have no idea if there are more or them, or even other things out there. And that's assuming all of it actually stays in the jungle.

[ like, what's stopping those bugs to decide to have a beach day or something. ]

They have to have something on their side to do all of this... but whatever it is, I don't think the Chiefs are the ones with it. It would be too risky if we ever managed to break into their hut or actually surprised them.

So they can be killed... [He stares in thought for a moment before he realizes he's frozen there with spoon in hand, looking stupid.] Was there anything else out there besides those yellow things?

If they're just monsters, they must be guarding something. We can just kill them all and then go into the jungle for more food.

That's all my group found. I don't know what the others ran into though, so they probably found something different than us.

I think the problem is that we don't know how big the jungle is. And the only way we can figure that out is by exploring it...

This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Why's it so bad we explore the jungle, huh? There doesn't need to be monsters involved. They had to summon them here on purpose.

I know I'm gonna get off this stinking island if it's the last thing I do. Kagome and the others won't be able to find the rest of the Jewel shards without me. None of them will be able to stop Naraku, that damn, slimy coward.

That's what this whole game reminds me of: something he'd do because he's too scared to fight face to face.

Who's Naraku? I know you've mentioned these Shards before and how important it is for you all to find them, but...
