Not against doing the right thing. But... sometimes people's ideas of what the right thing is differ.

I won't lie and say that I haven't acted as if what I think is the absolute [ she... she does that a lot tbh... ] but this isn't a situation where we can all afford to think like that.

Hmm. I'd say even being that level of self-aware is impressive, but I doubt you want to hear it. [remember that whole argument about him being condescending. yea.] The only way to succeed in trials will be to focus and work together and argue... less, but I don't see that happening immediately. We might go a few murders before catching a single killer.

That's... probably why they bring in such a large group at the start, right? It's harder to figure things out when there's so many possible suspects.

Where's their fun if all we do is succeed? [shrugs] It's an extra challenge, but since the idea from the start is to cull numbers... It works better if all your killers aren't uncovered too fast. They'd either run out of designated killers or discourage potential ones... or both.

Ugh... I really hate that you're right. I mean, I want to say that we'll catch them, but...

We can't even examine the body, or-- have evidence!

Because the emphasis is on "knowing" one another. We'll just have to make sure we get the information we need from the body before we give it back to the Chiefs.

If the killer wants to get away with it, probably. The more gruesome a death, the less likely people are to want to look closely at the body.

[ katara can admit she'll have a harder time looking at a super gory death than someone like laura might. not that laura would actually hunt for bodies but ya know. ]

... The amount of people who would be willing to look at a body and who would also know what they're doing is rather small. It'll definitely be a problem.

I'm not really sure how to teach people something like that. At least... not as quickly as we'd need everyone to know.

[ and if they don't even know how people are going to be killing, how are they gonna know what type of injury to look for. ]

We lack proper resources to teach, and I'd wager maybe a handful of people have a real concept of anatomy in the first place. The best we can hope for is the big picture from whoever finds the body... assuming the killer doesn't just "find it" themselves to cover their tracks.

... all we can really do about that is try to make sure no one finds a body on their own.

A good idea in theory, but nearly impossible to make happen in reality. [he huffs a bit] Our Friday scavenger hunts aren't mandatory, and even trying to pair up the people who do volunteer for it isn't foolproof. I think our best bet is to accept the lack of evidence as an inherent flaw-- oops, I meant feature-- of this game and learn to work around it then try to force our way through.
